freebsd-update latest.ssl not found

Hey Folks,

since last update, freebsd-update fetch failes with an error:

Looking up update.FreeBSD.org mirrors... 5 mirrors found.

failed.

fetch: http://update4.freebsd.org/10.0-STABLE/amd64/latest.ssl: Not Found
failed.
Fetching metadata signature for 10.0-STABLE from update5.freebsd.org...
fetch: http://update5.freebsd.org/10.0-STABLE/amd64/latest.ssl: Not Found
failed.
Fetching metadata signature for 10.0-STABLE from update6.freebsd.org...
fetch: http://update6.freebsd.org/10.0-STABLE/amd64/latest.ssl: Not Found
failed.

No mirrors remaining, giving up.

but I can ping the updatemirrors:

PING update5.freebsd.org (204.9.55.80): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 204.9.55.80: icmp_seq=0 ttl=53 time=125.689 ms

any ideas why an how to fix it?
