There's /usr/ports/www/udmsearch which is now known as
mnoGoSearch <http://www.mnogosearch.org/>

I would recommend that you read the installation instructions:

http://www.mnogosearch.org/install.html

..and download/install the latest version:

http://www.mnogosearch.org/Download/mnogosearch-3.1.19.tar.gz

I've installed it on our intranet at work and it was fairly simple to configure
and has worked quite well for us.

First, this is the wrong forum for technical-type
questions. The correct forum for those would be the
freebsd-questions list. Be sure to check the archives
before posting though. This forum is for discussing the
newbie experience, our ups and downs of getting to know
FreeBSD. We can help you phrase a question to be posted
to the -questions list, but do you really want newbies
answering your questions? :)

Second, have you searched the ports tree yet? "man ports"
to find out how, or use the web version:
http://www.freebsd.org/ports/

Ray,

This is excellent and a very useful way to search ports!

I would also recommend:

cd /usr/ports && make search key="whatyoursearchingfor" | more

Cheers
