Thanks for the pointer!

Do I need that sg_format utility, or will camcontrol format also do the
right thing?

that you sent a message in HTML-only format, and the FreeBSD lists
strip HTML attachments.

It would be nice if you would include legible plain text parts. Then
you could drop the HTML too.
