Hello:

I just upgraded my 2.4.0 kernel to 2.4.2 (via 2 patches) and PPP
immediately failed. The connection was made, but an IOCTL said there
was an argument error, and PPPD aborted. The IOCTL command in question was for
"PPPIOCGFLAGS".

Anyone else had this problem, and know how to correct for it?

I'm using Debian 2.2 for everything except the kernel.

Thanks,

Dean

add a deb-src line for testing and then
apt-get update
apt-get -b source ppp
dpkg --install <resulting .deb>

and you're set. :)

Hi Dean,
I too, am having similar problems. Upgraded to 2.4.2 and PPP is no
longer working. Works fine all my other kernels though (2.2.18 and 2.2.15)

Or he can use the binary I've already prepared. See [1] for more
information.
