This is the meeting reminder of next week’s MUAN meeting at 5:00 at Coffee Makes You Black, our default meeting site at 2803 N. Teutonia Ave. one block north of Center.
NOTICE: the group voted last time to change the meeting time to start at 5:00 and run to 7:00 rather than starting at 4:00 and trying to get out by 6:00.
If anyone wants to come at 4:00 and help set up, have coffee and chat with others before the meeting starts, please do.
Steve Ventura, Chair of the Dept of Soil Science at Madison is bringing his colleague, Sam Dennis from Landscape Architecture to come and help facilitate for us what it is facilitate a discussion of what some of the key research questions are in urban agriculture— what we want to know, what we already know about the subjects , what the information resources are, and what kinds of projects might help provide answers where we have knowledge gaps.
At Steve’s suggestion, we’re calling this “A Research Agenda for Urban Ag”. It’s what UW/Madison would be interested in pursuing with us to develop a good knowledge base to formalize and pass on.
