mu4e-compose-in-new-frame bug in mu4e 1.10.8

Upgraded to ubuntu 24.04 and mu4e 1.10.8

I use mu4e-compose-in-new-frame and that worked fine before. 

But in this version of mu4e, when I compose a new mail there are 2 issues: 

1) The frame that opens up is very tiny.

2) After I send the mail, the frame remains open instead of just closing/disappearing. 

Anyone else seen this or have a solution to this problem?
