Search autocomplete is inhibited by dash?

Hello,

Let's say I have the following maildirs:

/mydomain/box/.lists.emacs-orgmode
/mydomain/box/.lists.emacs-conf
/mydomain/box/.lists.emacs-lulz

if I want to search in a specific maildir from the list above I use `mu4e-search` and then input the
path hitting `tab` for autocompletion until I see:

maildir:/mydomain/box/.lists.emacs-

at this point I press `tab` again but nothing happens. I expect instead to see suggested:

/mydomain/box/.lists.emacs-orgmode
/mydomain/box/.lists.emacs-conf
/mydomain/box/.lists.emacs-lulz

If the string is instead:

maildir:/mydomain/box/.lists.emacs.

(notice how I replaced the last dash with a dot)

Than the expected autocompletion happens.

What is preventing the dash character to autocomplete?

Thanks.

Cheers,

I still have not figured out why mu4e does not autocomplete maildirs with a dash in the name

That might be a limitation of the autocompletion code; see
mu4e--search-query-completion-at-point

Patches are welcome.

Kind regards,
Dirk.
