We are a Meditech Magic V5.67 facility with $T radiology.
Our on-site radiologists are soon to be employees, necessitating professional fees be included in our billing for the exam.
It is our understanding that we can populate the Professional Billing Code field in the exam dictionaries and it should cause the fee to be included in the patient bill when it drops. Sounds great.

Now for the added twist:
We also have exams being read by an outside service who does their own professional billing. The division of labor is based primarily on time of day.
Both groups of radiologists dictate outside of Meditech and the reports are interfaced in via NMI in a signed status.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to drop professional fees for only the exams that are read by the in-house radiologists?
Looking for a way to accomplish this that does not result in billing manually adding or removing charges daily.

Any and all suggestions or thought provoking questions greatly appreciated,
Deb Alford
