P.S. Just to reiterate a key point: no matter what goes wrong, at any
point in time, it is entirely Andrew Bazan's fault.

Well, the code for the CAN modules is complete, and each module is
programmed with the fully tested and working version 1.0 code. So it
should be good to go for full time use next year. All of the code,
datasheets, schematics, etc... are on the future truck laptop in the
directory c:\cx2005\code\canv2.
Attached is a pdf datasheet, and I put a nice color laser printed copy in
the shop with the schematics. (btw, I know about the stupid figure 1
repeat thing, but Word refuses to get rid of it. If someone really wants
to fix it, it is in datasheet.doc in the directory mentioned above).
In case you are wondering where some things are, note that the trackball
that is usually kept with the laptop is my personal trackball, and I have
taken it back. You guys may want to get one for the laptop next year. I
"borrowed" CANV2 module 001 too, in case any code changes need to be made,
I can test any changes to see if they work.
Oh, and my toolbox and padlock keys are hanging on the keychain in the
locked cabinet. Pass them on to someone responsible on the electrical team
(i.e. Andrew if he doesn't already have his own set).
Lastly, keep in touch! I can be a good source of technical information and
design ideas for electrical and controls systems (for anyone who doesn't
know, I wrote 90% of the controls that run the explorer). Not to mention
the only source for answers about the MTU CANV2 system.
This e-mail address will expire whenever 'Tech gets around to deleting old
e-mail addys. I'll make sure to get someone my contact information when I
have a more permanent address.
Good luck next year!
Josh
