Specialized SCS Question

Hi guys,

Tech question on a set of nice wheels I have a line on. They are the Roval Control SL SCS.

There is so much confusion over this silly standard that Specialized built into the Crux and diverge. Lots of answers of how to build SCS wheels to fit the bikes, but I can find anything to tell me if these wheels will fit a Non SCS frame. I'd like to use them on my 12x142 gravel bike. 

Is this as simple as some type of end cap..or will there be all kinds of chainline/dish implications?

No, these won’t work in a standard frame.

The hub-shell is actually the same size as a 130mm road hub, this moves the cassette 2.5mm inboard compared with a normal 135/142 setup.  Your chain line would be off by 2.5mm.

This was a band-aid before Shimano foxes their road chainrings to allow for greater cross-chain misalignment.

Thanks chris..kinda what I figured. Was hoping there was an end cap solution....but appears not the case. Too bad $500 for a VERY lightly used set.
