Hi all,

As you may or may not be aware, GFNY is expanding their worldwide series of events to Pittsburgh this fall (September 21) from Boyce Park.

For anyone interested in the event, my team Visit Pittsburgh, is leading a recon ride of one loop of the route (about 42 miles) leaving from the Boyce Park Soccer Fields at 8am tomorrow morning. To clarify, this is Boyce Park out by Monroeville (not Boyce/mayview).

All are welcome - please sign the waiver here - there’s not cost to the recon ride just a quick registration.

(Not to disrupt the normal coffee ride west)

To add on to the spirit of brother Jeff’s email, on this Sunday July 20, the Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling Club is putting on their 15th Annual McDermott 3-State Tour 2025 (both century and metric century rides). It will start at Robert Morris University Island Sports Center (7600 Grand Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15225) rolling out at 7:30 am. For more information, see link below (there is a fee of $60 but going toward a great club named after arguably the greatest American cyclist).

P.S. Unfortunately, I will be aut of tahn this weekend but if anyone plans on riding, let me know as I have a good Strava cycling follower from Maryland who plans on riding.
