Our client is one of Montreal's most successful and preeminent law firms. Due to their expansion, recent move to gorgeous offices in the core of downtown Montreal, and increased dependence on all that is IT, they need an IT Technician to help the existing team. As an IT Technical Support Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the organization with day-to-day IT needs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES

- Support & maintain in-house computer systems, LAN, WAN, desktops & peripherals
- Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining & upgrading all hardware & equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance
- Provide end user training & assistance where required
- Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis & resolution of PC and Network problems for a varietyof end users
- Receive & respond to incoming calls or e-mails regarding PC, Network and/or hardware problems
- Develop & maintain an inventory of all IT related equipment
- Monitor & test Infrastructure Services performance & provide Infrastructure Services performance statistics & reports
- Accurately document instances of all IT relates issues in OTRS
- Liaise with third-party support & PC equipment vendors

QUALIFICATIONS

- College Diploma or University Degree in computer science
- Excellent technical knowledge of network & PC hardware
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience Working technical knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols, operating systems & standards, including Windows XP, Windows 2008 and/or 2012 Server, Microsoft Exchange, Cisco switch and Linux
- Ability to read & understand technical manuals, procedural documentation & OEM guides
- Ability to conduct research into PC issues & products as required
