Couldn't resist making an ass of the poster (the Crappy one?) who typed the header:
P.M. Harper Rightfully Dismisses Useless Bloated House of Common And Senate For Two Months

Harper has taken a dive for cover for two months because he intends on making the
government STILL LARGER under his time in office.

Here are some facts (since Harper was elected in January 2006):

The number of MPs in Ottawa prior to his election was 236.

It is now 308.

The average (base) salary for an MP prior to Harper's election, was $144,300.

On April 1st, 2006 (no foolin') he increased their base salaries to $147,700.

Prior to his election in 2006, there were 100 Senators in the Senate at a base salary of
$122,700.

Now, there are 105 Senators (or will be in a few weeks) at a base salary of $130,400.

Keep in mind that their 'base' salaries can rise anywhere from $3,000 just for
transportation to $55.000 a year if they sit on a few committees.

In 2005 the number of federal EMPLOYEES was 271,999. Now, in 2009 it's 316,826.

And the largest growth in federal employees has taken place in the OTTAWA region, which
means he's bloating his own federal government in Ottawa - not in Saint John, NB or
elsewhere.

The guy ran on a platform of 'less government' and instead he's using OUR tax dollars to
create a government for his own uses - while off-loading costs of programs and health care
to the individual provinces.

No bloody wonder he's hiding once again and dissolved Parliament. Too many people were
seeing through this man and his government hacks.

Governemnt in my life time has ALWAYS become larger every single year.
Does not mater if it is Cons, Lib or balance of power to NDP - the three
a$$wipe parties are big statists. All for big, fat, dysfunctional and
corrupt huge government in your face and up your arse.

And they don't work for the people.

People in Canada vote stupid. Canadians should repeat to themselves:

I am a "<insert dysfunctional party of choice here> dumb ass
[Canadian|Quebecer] and indentured tax slave.

If nothing else, churn your MP every 4 years until you get one that is
voting for your consituancies best interests and not voting for some
satist ego driven dysfunction like auto, banks, African banks and
underhanded corruption. Resist the temptation to support governments
who bribe you with $100 back after they take $10,000 of your money.

But Canadians are not that bright.
