But, I found the manufacturer was still missing 2 inches of stitches in a
corner where the plastic top is sitting on the metal frame. I am pretty sure
those missing stitches will cause a bigger crack during the windstorm or
snowstorm.
Therefore, I told the guy about the missing stitches, and asked to be
completed before any further installation. Of course, as anybody could
imagine this, the guy said: the top will be OK this winter, we will
complete the missing stitches next spring when we come back to put down your
tempo. That means, I will have to pay in full now and rely on their mercy
next spring.
As I insisted to finish the missing stitches, the guy called the
manufacturers office. The lady in the phone told me: We are very busy
now, and there will be at least 1 week delay if you refuse the plastic top
now. I told her I preferred to wait until it is completed, then the guy
took the plastic top back.
I am puzzled. What? A two inches of missing stitches requires another week
to be completed? I thought it is just a good 15 minutes of work. Now, there
is still nothing from the manufacturer, I felt uncomfortable. If the worse
comes to worse, I will have to shovel my whole driveway. BUT, its still
much better than paying in full and shoveling snow under a broken tempo top.
HaK.haK.haK.
If you will have your new tempo his fall, I have a suggestion for youKK DO
CHECK EVERYTHING SMALL OR LARGE BEFORE PAYING THE BILL. THE ONLY PERSON,
WHOM YOU CAN RELY ON, IS YOURSELF.
