The “big spring cleaning” seems to continue at the Hells Angels

The investigators of SPVMMontreal Police Department made the macabre discovery of the 47-year-old man, found tied up in the trunk of his own burnt-out vehicle, in Pointe-aux-Trembles.

According to relatives, Leblanc had been missing for about two days. It is suspected he was killed before his corpse was taken to his car to be set on fire
said a source of information from Radio-Canada.

This way of doing things clearly bears the signature of the criminal bikers of the Hells Angels

As in the case of the murders of Stéphane Dupuis on April 12 and Sébastien Giroux on May 10, Hugues Leblanc had in common that he too did business with the Hells Angels.

He was a notorious cocaine trafficker in the Pointe-aux-Trembles area on behalf of the organization.

Leblanc’s home was reportedly combed through by Montreal police major crime investigators until the evening.

According to witnesses, the interior was in poor condition after the disappearance of the victim.

Several sources also told us over the weekend that the three Hells Angels-related murders in Montreal were carried out on territory controlled by member in good standing Jean-Richard Lariviere, nicknamed
Race
in the criminal world.

The entire eastern part of the metropolis, the gay district sector and the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve sector is under the control of Race Lariviere. All the black drug market goes through him in these parts of town

The man whose body was found in the trunk of a Tesla car on Sunday was a convicted drug dealer who had a case pending at the Montreal courthouse.

A police source has confirmed to the Montreal Gazette that the victim is Hugues Leblanc, 47, a resident of the Mercier—Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough. In April, he was charged with being in possession of a drug with the intent to traffic and an offence involving a false identity document.

Leblanc, who has reported ties to the Hells Angels, was scheduled to make his first appearance at the Montreal courthouse on the charge in June.

His criminal record includes a 2010 conviction in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu for drug trafficking.

According to a report published in 2010, Leblanc was living in St-Amable when the police entered his home after an alarm went off at his residence late on a weekday morning.

While they investigated the alarm, police found 23,000 methamphetamine pills, 587 Cialis pills, four scales, a cash-counting machine and eight kilograms of marijuana.

Leblanc pleaded guilty shortly after he was arrested and he was sentenced on Dec. 17, 2010, to a six-year prison term.

Last year, he pleaded guilty to identity theft at the Longueuil courthouse and was ordered to pay a $500 fine.

Leblanc’s body was discovered Sunday morning after the Montreal fire department was called to put out a fire in the Pointe-aux-Trembles—Rivière-des-Prairies borough. A Tesla had been set on fire in Pointe-aux-Prairies nature park.

When the fire was extinguished, firefighters found Leblanc’s body in the trunk of the vehicle and the case was turned over to the Montreal police. No suspects have been arrested.

The homicide is the 10th reported in Montreal so far this year. There were eight reported during the corresponding period last year.

A man who was supposed to be sentenced this coming Friday, for helping hit man Frédérick Silva when he went into hiding after committing a murder in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, was fatally shot in St-Michel Wednesday afternoon.

Police sources confirmed to the Montreal Gazette that the man who was fatally shot, sometime around 4:25 p.m., was 36-year-old Sébastien Giroux. He was a known associate of Silva and, on March 15, pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact to the murder of Daniel Armando Somoza-Gildea, a Concordia University student who was killed by Silva May 24, 2017, after they argued inside Cabaret Les Amazones in N.D.G.

Silva entered a no contest plea to the second-degree murder charge last week. The plea is part of a strategy that will allow him to appeal the murder case.

Giroux was at the strip bar with Silva when the victim was killed. While police were trying to track Silva down, they realized that Giroux was helping him hide.

When Giroux pleaded guilty to the charge in March, lawyers on both sides of the case made a joint recommendation that he be sentenced to a three-year prison term. The lawyers also made an unusual request that Giroux be released from detention before he was scheduled to be sentenced this Friday.

“Because of a particular situation and for family reasons we will ask you to delay your decision on the sentence until May 13,” Nathalie Kléber told Superior Court Justice Marc David in March. “It will allow him to settle certain affairs.”

One thing Giroux planned to tend to, Kléber said, involved a move from one location to another. When he was arrested last year, Giroux resided in a downtown apartment building near Saint James United Church.

Giroux was granted the conditional release with an order that he not associate with any known criminals except for three men. Two of the exceptions were Emmanuel Zephir, 49, a notorious street gang leader, and his 45-year-old brother, Jean-Ismael Zephir.

According to the Montreal police, someone called 911 Wednesday afternoon to report that shots were fired at the intersection of Shelley Ave. and Crémazie Blvd. E.

“When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a victim, a man, who had been shot. Unfortunately, he was declared dead at the scene,” Montreal police spokesperson Mariane Allaire Morin said.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene and no one had been arrested as of early Wednesday evening.

The homicide was the ninth reported in Montreal so far this year. There were eight homicides reported during the corresponding period last year.

Emmanuel Zephir has been identified in court cases in the past as the leader of a street gang called the Crack Down Posse and, later on, a gang called the Syndicate that was formed by Gregory Woolley, one of the most influential organized crime figures in Quebec, while he worked for the Hells Angels during Quebec’s biker gang war.

Zephir has not been charged with a crime since he and his brother were arrested in 2009 in Project Axe, an investigation into drug trafficking linked to street gangs and the Hells Angels, but he has an extensive criminal record. It includes a conviction for killing a rival gang member during a party in northern Montreal in 1999.
