As I know, there are three ways to plot IPF with MTEX.

In addition, I can get the schmid factor with orientation.

I wonder if it is possible to plot the value 'tau' on the IPF.

If it is possible, I want to know the way.

I want to draw like the contour plot which is attached.

Please help me.

Hello,
Could you solve this problem? It is my problem too.
Cheers,

In difference to https://mtex-toolbox.github.io/files/doc/PlasticDeformation.html you have to define the tension directions to be only with the fundamental zone corresponding to the crystal symmetry CS. This can be done as follows

% define a grid of tension directions
sR
= fundamentalSector(CS)
r
= plotS2Grid(sR,'resolution',0.5*degree)

All the other commands remain the same.

Ralf.
