Hello,

My question is regarding the misorientation angle distribution obtained from "plotAngleDistribution(grains.boundary.misorientation)" , is this distribution weighted considering the dimension of corresponding grain boundary.

Thanks & Regards

Please be as detailed as possible, explain what you want to do, what kind of data you are using. Attaching simplified code and data is always useful. Click the the button { } to inline code and finally remove these lines before posting :)

Hi Abhishek,
the misorientation angle distribution is obtained from all grain boundary segments. A long boundary has more segments then a short boundary and hence, if you wish, you can call it weighted by the grain boundary length.
Is that what you mean?
Cheers,
Rüdiger

Hello Rüdiger,

Thanks for your reply. The main reason for my question was to understand whether we can use this distribution as the measured misorietation distribution as described in the book Texture and Anisotropy by Kocks, Tomé, and Wenk.
