Dear MTEX users,
we are proud to announce the first beta of MTEX 3.4. This release features a completely rewritten visualization engine which is much more powerful and more simple to use. In particular, the axis alignment can now be changed interactively, arbitrary (scatter) plots can be plotted as contour plots and plots can be arbitrarily stacked in one figure. Furthermore, MTEX got support for Schmid tensor and active slip system computations.

Everyone is encouraged to submit comments and bugs so we can improve MTEX 3.4 further.

Just a note: MTEX 3.4beta2 is online, fixing a lot of bugs that where reported by you.

A second note: MTEX 3.4beta4 is online. Most likely the last beta before MTEX 3.4 final.
