Questoin about IPF figure

Hi,

I want to ask about the orientation of IPF figures. I'm setting my current r as r = [vector3d.X, vector3d.Y,vector3d.Z]; and cs = crystalSymmetry('m-3m'); for my IPFplot command. There are three IPF figures show up: x, y and z. I am just confused which orientation does these three figures represent. Does it mean on x IPF, i'm viewing from x axis direction [0 0 1]? Thanks!
