Please be as detailed as possible, explain what you want to do, what kind of data you are using. Attaching simplified code and data is always useful. Click the the button { } to inline code and finally remove these lines before posting :)

Hi Ralf and other experienced users,

I am a new user  to use this this GND script and many thanks for your work

I am now trying run the GND_demo using matlab r2018a and mtex 5.1.1, but I cannot get the same images provided in the manual (http://mtex-toolbox.github.io/files/doc/GND_demo.html).

For example, when I run the script GND_demo. m (I did not change anything), I only got the blank figure

Then I run the script up to line 255 (setColorRange([-0.005,0.005])

drawNow(gcm,'figSize','large');). This only gave me the image below without colour

What is wrong with my operation? or is there a bug?

Look forward to your reply

Best wishes

Dikai

Hi Dikai,

two questions:
  1. Are all the previous figures ok?
  2. Is there no error message or warning whatsoever?
Ralf.

Hi Ralf,

I tested it again today, but I had the same problem.

All the figures before line 135 in GND_demo.m are correct and I get the right image

However, the image after line 252 is wrong, I can only get the wrong one

I carried on, in the end I only got this image

There was no warning or error during my testing.
Could you get the right image when you run this script?
Please help me out?

Thanks

Best wishes

Dikai

Dear DIKAI GUAN,

the function fitDislocationSystems requires the Matlab optimization toolbox, which is most likely not installed on your computer.
I will add a warning here.

Ralf.
