Hi,

My sample is hcp structure. When I tried to plotIPDF(odf, zvector), I obtained the IPF figure shown in the attachment. But from the pole figure, (0002) intensity should not be the strongest in IPF.

Is there somebody who can give me suggestions?

Thanks!

Yuan

Hi Yuan,
can you detail a bit what you exactly you did and maybe share the odf (as a .mat would be sufficient).
Cheers,
Rüdiger

Hi,
so far, I don't see anything wrong with our odf besides it has a funny symmetry. How was it obtained?
If you compare the ipf with respect to (0,0,1) with the one to (1,0,1), you'll see that indeed the density of c-axes parallel to (1,0,1) is much higher compared to those parallel to (0,0,1).
Cheers,
Rüdiger

Hi Rüdiger,

Thanks for the answer! The odf was mannually summed by several odf.
