Starting with MATLAB 2012b there is a drastic change how help is displayed by MATLAB. The MTEX documentation is now displayed in an external help browser and not in the MATLAB help browser which is somehow reserved for commercial MATLAB toolboxes.

There are two ways to get to the MTEX documentation:

1. click "HOME" -> "Help" -> "Supplemental Software", the last link is a bit hidden at then bottom of the MATLAB help page left to "PDF Documentation"
2. click "show documentation" in the MTEX startup screen and navigate to "MTEX Toolbox" on the left panel of the help browser (works only with MTEX 3.4)

We hope MATLAB provides in the future a more convenient way to access custom documentation and will update MTEX accordingly.
