Hello

 I have EBSD data in  ".osc file", I want to convert the ".osc files" to ".ctf files"  and save the data.

So can I convert the file format in  MTEX?? . If yes How can I do it ???

Regards
Santhosh

Hi Santhosh,

unfortunately this is not possible with MTEX. I think this should be possible directly at you EBSD machine.

Dear Santhosh,
import your data using the osc-interface and export it as text again [export(ebsd,’output') ]. If you like an .ang you have to get the relevant header from somewhere else and potentially rearrange some columns.
Cheers;

Hi Santhosh

I think even in this case you can’t do it, but I am not sure…I think would make your life much easier to transform the data on the computer that has the Channel/Aztec software and do the things you want on MTEX. That is fast and non-problematic. Even if you dont have personally access to Channel/Aztec, I am quite sure there are people here willing to do the transformation for you (I can’t because I have EDAX/TSL software)

cheers

Dear Santhosh

Sorry for my last message, I mixed up *.cpr (from oxford) and *.osc  files, but Rüdiger corrected me on time, sorry about that!
