Hi guys,

I'm a new user of Mtex and have a question about the index in inverse pole figure.

I used the following Matlab code to plot inverse pole figure after I loaded the input file(attached). I'm using Mtex-4.2.1.

plotIPDF(ebsd('Ce O2').orientations,xvector)

I can directly read the index of lattice plane from the inverse pole figure but it seems that there are two (1 0 1) spots and the other index is also wrong. I'm not sure what the problem is. Could you help me check it? Is there any other ways I can get the index of spots from inverse pole figure?

Besides, I'm wondering how to plot contouring grid to show how many degrees one lattice plane spot away from (001), (101), and (111) in inverse pole figure.

Thanks,

Xin

Hi Xin Xu,

this is a bug which will be fixed in the next release of MTEX. Thank you for reporting this.

Ralf.
