Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to use MTEX with a Linux OS ?

We already tried, but we got this error message : Invalid MEX-file '/home/local/ISTO/bbevillard/Bureau/CODES/MATLAB/MTEX/MTEX/mtex-5.1.1/extern/nfft/nfsoftmex.mexa64': libmvec.so.1: Ne
peut ouvrir le fichier d'objet partagé: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type.

Apparently, the file "libmvec.so 1" does not exist, but we found it in the MTEX folder. So Matlab cannot charge it when we startup MTEX.

Thank you in advance for your feedbacks.

Cheers,

Jacques

Hi Rüdiger,

We use an Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty). Is that what you ask ?

Cheers,

Jacques

Exactly. I suspect you need a newer glibc (>= 2.22, you probably have 2.19) to run the precompiled binaries or compile the binaries yourself (see the readme) so they won't be having libmvec support (and hence might be slower) but might work for you.
Is any of this an option?

Cheers,
Rüdiger

We checked and we effectively have a glibc = 2.19. So this is probably the reason. We gonna try to fix that.

Thank you very much for your help.

All the Best,

Jacques
