Hi All,

I had a suggestion to have milk at night in the mess, for those who do
not take dinner. I myself do take dinner almost everyday, however,
some times food is not so enjoyable. So it would be great if they can
provide milk to those who do not want to take dinner. Whats your
opinion on that?

I had mailed it to Payal, mess Secy.. Got this reply after repeated
mailing

'Hi Radhika
I think your asking for milk in night means dinner timing, i can do
this ask them but at the peak time when everyone is busy it might take
time to serve milk then you have to wait and it will be charged extra
like in tiffin.
But if you mean free milk for those who don't want dinner it's not
possible.
Because there is some rule in contract which decide the per day
charges and no. of menu items.

Payal
Mess council'

There is a long struggle going on to have canteen open.. with male
workers (btw, I have no objection for that). This is also against some
existing conditions (Hostel rules). That could be given a try..
However, having negotiation with mess contractor is the least thing
which can even be given a try!

Probably if more people are interested (If u think that will help u in
some way), v may hv a stronger voice.. I am not trying to convince you
to support this.. Just I wanted to know, if more people are
interested..

regards,
Radhika
