All the single occupants of 6th floor have to be moved downstairs so that we get max vacant rooms and these single occupants are also scattered. If we had tried to move according to serial number then a lot more double occupants would have had to move. This arrangement has been fixed ensuring only 2 pairs and all single pple move so that min hassle is caused to the floormates. Although some chunk of rooms will still be belonging to Mtechs but at least the incoming batch will be on one floor.
We have no personal agenda here, this was the best possible combination available to ensure min number of pairs and max number of single pple to move.
And all the shifting that you had to undergo was before you came to H 10 was because of the H11 council. The H10 council had nothing to do with it. We are just asking you to move once so as to cause minimize the problem faced by others. I already told you that if the 6th floories don't move then all the 200 pg students will have to. Please understand the problem we are facing and look at the bigger picture here. It is impossible to cater to the request of each and everybody including all students and administration and we are doing our level best.
I completely empathize with you because you have had to shift so many times, but I assure you that u will not be asked to shift after this.
I hve asked for room 310 for you.
If you have any other problem like Health reason then please let me know. The date for shifting will be communicated to you soon.
If you do not agree now then either we have to reallocate rooms to entire 200 pg students; which i think is not fair that just for 2 pple, the entire 200 students should move and you can be then personally answerable to each one of them.
Or, you will not even get 310 which is now your first preference. Then any random room may be allocated to you and will cause you much more trouble than what you will undergo if u shift now.
I regret the inconvenience caused to you but please co-operate with us, one last time with respect to room shifting.
Thanks
Shikha

Hi,
I am not sure I understand the logic in the explation given. The new students will still be scattered in the 6th floor as rooms 618 ,617,611,612,613 etc will continue to be occupied by senior M.Tech students. If you just want a couple of rooms together in a cluster, that is just as easily done on the 3rd floor.
I have been in this institute for a year and i have already seen four rooms .This roomshifting seems to be a quarterly event and I am sure you understand how annoying this can be.To the best of my knowledge no student in this floor wants to shift. Please do reconsider the decision or atleast give a more reasonable explanation.
Thanks,

Dear krishnapriya and Fathima,
We need the rooms on 6th floor coz the rooms that are vacant in teh entire building are scattered here and there amidst PG and third year students and we cannot send a new batch there to isolate them from their batchmates. This is an administrative level decision and if does not happen, the only other choice left with us would be to shift all the 200 pg students. As you can very well understand this will lead to a lot of chaos and confusion. We have kept the interests of the majority in mind and so we kindly request you to shift downstairs. We want you to go through the procedure before your semester begins so that no time is wasted during classes. I have forwarded your request for Room 310 and will try my best that you get the room.
I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for understanding and for your patience.
