Positions : Software Engineer

Experience : 0 – 3 years

Required skill-sets : For STBs : Testing experience (functional, black-box, stress, stability), Test case development , STB Applications experience ( DVR/PVR/Graphics, HD-TV, Audio-Video…), DTV domain, good knowledge of DVB & MPEG standards

For DSL : Test case/procedure development at System Level; Very good knowledge in IP Networking domain for Testing & Troubleshooting; Experience in L2/L3 Protocols (e.g TCP/IP, PPP, PPPoE, DHCP, RFC1483, ATM, Firewall, NAT, DMZ, RADIUS, SNMP, IGMP, RIP, TR064, UPnP, DLNA, TR069, SIP, STP etc.); Hands-on experience in devices like DSL/DOCSIS modems or DSLAMs/COs or Routers/Switches; Exposure to Traffic Generator Tools like Ixia, Spirent etc

Preferred common skill-sets : Automation and scripting skills – PERL, Javascript, TCL/TK, Expect, Shell

Qualitative skills : Good team player, innovative, hard working, enthusiastic in trying out and proposing ideas

Selection Criteria : There would be a written test for those less than 2 years of experience and the engineers should have minimum 70% qualifying marks. Prefer engineers with BTech and MTech degrees from reputed institutions.
