By Amma’s Grace, Amrita University is ranked the No.1 Private University in India by the official Govt. of India ranking system, the NIRF ( National Institutional Ranking Framework).

We are the 9^th best University (overall) in the country, in the 2017 NIRF ranking list published by the MHRD today.

All the 8 Universities ranked ahead of us are Govt. Institutions, which are many decades older than us. Amrita University comes after IISc, JNU, BHU, JNCASR, Jadhavpur Univerisity, Anna University, University of Hyderabad, and Delhi University.

 

Though we generally use the word “Amma’s Grace” and take it for granted, in this case, I can say with conviction that at the gross level also, it was simply Amma’s active guidance that has brought in this result. It has been compassionate, caring, immaculate, insistent, influential leadership that Amma has been giving. Amma wouldn’t miss any opportunity to remind us, question us, push us and inspire us to perform better, setting a goal that is nothing less than to be the best.

 

Request everyone to join together in bowing down to that Infinite Grace that we are fortunate to regard as our Beloved Amma. Feeling grateful, filled with thy Grace, Amma!

 

I am thankful to all the faculty members, staff, students and the entire support system that has made this achievement possible. Like tiny drops of water that forms a flowing river, little efforts and contributions from each and every one of you have gone into making this remarkable achievement. Let’s all be Proud and be Grateful too!
