Amrita Centre for International Programs is excited to share this Ph.D. opportunity for two fully funded Ph.D. positions available at University of Missouri-Columbia by this fall. This is offered by one of our collaborators from the US, Dr. Prasad Calyam (http://faculty.missouri.edu/calyamp/), Department of Computer Science, from the University of Missouri. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at University of Missouri- Columbia and also a Core Faculty in the University Of Missouri Informatics Institute (MUII).
His primary areas of interest include Distributed and Cloud Computing, Computer Networking, Networked- Multimedia Applications, Cyber Security and the secondary area is in Wireless Networks. Please see details below:

Amrita Center for International Programs is very happy to announce TEN Ph.D. positions for Amrita in all areas of Engineering at University of Central Florida (UCF). The University Of Central Florida (UCF), one of the largest institutions in the nation, has experienced unprecedented growth in the last 10 years, and the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is leading this growth.
UCF has announced, in the last three years, within CECS in emerging areas of research of national and global importance, such as Cyber Security and Privacy, Data Analytics and Big Data, Power Systems and Smart Grid, Smart Prosthetics, Coastal Research, Energy and Propulsion, Science of Learning, Disability and Aging Technology, Smart Cities.
Areas of research focus/strength in each of the 6 Departments within the College are:
1. Civil Environmental and Construction Engineering (CECE): Transportation, Structural Health Monitoring, Water Quality
2. Computer Science (CS): Computer Vision, Virtual Reality and HCI, AI and Machine Learning
3. Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE): Cyber Physical Systems (e.g., power and energy systems, connected vehicles, optimization and control), Devices and Sensors (e.g., antennas, high-frequency circuits, MEMS/SAW devices, emergent devices, systems-on-chip, biomedical devices), Communications and Signal Processing (e.g., wireless networking, sensor networks, high-dimensional signal processing, brain signal processing)
4. Industrial Engineering and Management Systems (IEMS): Modeling and Optimization of Complex Networks, Complex Adaptive Systems and Data Analytics, Interoperability and Interactive Simulation Systems
5. Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE): Advanced Turbomachinery and Energy Research, Thermal Fluids, Biomedical, Mechanical Systems
6. Materials Science and Engineering (MSE): Manufacturing (Micro to Nano to Additive), Smart and Electronic Materials, Biomedical Materials and Devices
