Applications are invited for admission to Ph. D. programmes in various disciplines in the Amritapuri campus. Admission will be based on Entrance examination and or an Interview. Eligible candidates who are interested in the programme may first approach the Chairpersons of Department / Center and ascertain the possibilities of admissions.
Completed applications in the prescribed format may be sent to the office of the Chair, Ph.D. programme, ASE on or before 14TH JANUARY, 2016.
The eligibility criteria for Admission are as follows:
Applicants with first-class (minimum of 65% marks) in the following degrees are eligible to apply for admission to the Ph.D. Programme:
B.E., B.Tech., M.E., M.Tech., M.Sc., MCA. or a Master's degree in the relevant discipline OR any other degree, including a degree from a foreign university, which can be considered as equivalent to one of the above degrees for the purpose of admission by the PGP Chair after verification of the relevant documents.
All applicants are expected to have strong academic records. Applicants with only a Bachelors degree should show additional evidence, such as excellent scores on standardized aptitude tests (e.g. GRE, GATE) or publications in good conferences or journals.
The Ph.D entrance examination is scheduled for JANUARY 18th, 2016 at Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, Kollam.
Time: 9:30 AM - 12 NOON (Duration 2 hours 30 minutes)
The entrance examination will have two parts. Part A consisting of 30 multiple choice questions and part B consisting of 12 brief answer questions related to the topic of the candidate’s Master level programme.
The candidates are requested to report at 9:00 AM sharp.
