Hi all:

I am trying to run ' netdrive connect brutman.com:2002 bigdisk.dsk e:'

I am getting this Error "Error: Not a NetDrive device or wrong version".

I am running in 86box, I get an IP address via DHCP, I can ping internal and external hosts.

Services version says "Congrats! Your version of mTCP (2024-10-20) is up-to-date."

I made sure I am working with the latest downloaded version off of the web site.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Alex

The error message means that the E: drive is not controlled by the NetDrive device driver.

Did you remember to install the device driver (NETDRIVE.SYS) in your CONFIG.SYS file?  If so, when you rebooted it should have told you what drive letter it was assigned.  Use that drive letter instead of E:.

Closing the loop on this ...  the OP was using the wrong drive letter, and everything is working now.
