[SaMac_Cana5] Spiritual Journey-day 7

How are you doing?  Today is the last day of our Spiritual Journey, one more day and we’ll arrive at Cana V.  Let’s get ourselves ready for Cana V shall we?  The Holy Gospel according to Saint Mark 10: 46-52  As Jesus was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a sizable crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind man, the son of Timaeus, sat by the roadside begging.  On hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, son of David, have pity on me.”   And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent.  But he kept calling out all the more, “Son of David, have pity on me.”  Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”  So they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take courage; get up, Jesus is calling you.”  He threw  aside  his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.  Jesus said to him in reply, “What do you want me to do for you?”  The blind man replied to him, “Master, I want to see.”  Jesus told him, ‘Go your way; your faith has saved you.”  Immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.

Reflection:  Do I have the courage to cry out to Jesus like the blind man, Bartimaeus, when everyone around me told me to be quiet?  How often do I faithfully pray to Jesus?  For what problems do I continue to call out for Jesus’ help?

Action: Practice your faith by Living a Eucharistic Day - say a short prayer to God when you wake up in the morning, at lunch time and before bedtime.  Dear Jesus, please give me the grace to love you with my whole heart and to trust in you always. Amen. Please bring your completed Bó Hoa Thiêng to camp.  You also need to do, as a team, is the poster size containing the result of Bó Hoa Thiêng from each members of your team. Be creative in presenting your team poster.  Thank you for accompanying me for the last 7 days.  Make sure you smile and say “Hi” to everyone at camp to show that God loves you.  We can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces and we love you. Cana V, here we come! Yay…J
