Let us meditate on the Joyful Mysteries:

The Annunciation (LK 1:26–28)-We pray for the gift of Humility

The Visitation (LK 1:39–45 -We pray for the gift of Charity.

The Birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ  (LK 2:1–20 -We pray for the gift of Detachment from the World.

The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple(LK 2:22–35)  -We pray for the gifts of Obedience and Purity of Heart.

The Finding of Jesus After Three Days in the Temple (LK 2:41–52) -We pray for the gift of Piety.

Let us pray on this Memorial Day: Oh loving God, we pray for the brave soldiers who have died while protecting our country.  For the families and friends of those who have given their lives in the military and we ask that they be comforted in their sadness.  Amen.

So how was it when you tried to smile at everyone you meet yesterday?  Was it easy to try to smile with love on certain people and hard on others? You’ve tried but it didn’t work out so well?  Did people give you a “weird” look when you give them a smile with love?  Action: If you haven’t done this yesterday, I want you to try it with your family, friends at school and yes even with people that you don’t get along with

I have a joke that I hope would put a loving smile on your face:  “One Sunday morning, a priest saw a little boy staring intently at the large plaque on the church wall.  The plaque was covered with names, and flags hung on either side of it.

“Father,” asked the boy, “what’s this?”

He replied, “ It’s a memorial to all the men and women who died in the service.”

They stood together in silence for a moment.  Finally, the boy asked with genuine concern: “Was it at the eight or ten-thirty Mass?” JJJJJJJ        Get it? He..he..he…service…like mass….he…he…he…                                                                                                                                                                                              It’s good to see you smile on this blessed-sunny-Monday!  We thank Our Lord for the gift of laughter.  Don’t forget to keep a record of your Bó Hoa Thiêng. We love you.
