Daniel,
Bus routes are not assigned permanent, immutable colors the way that
subway routes are. (In addition to being represented as the lines on
the map, subway colors are embodied in the route symbols, and they
appear in other places as well for example service change notices and
in many cases the trains themselves.)
One might be able to find an example here or there, but bus route
colors are generally not used outside the maps. And as Robert noted,
they are not necessarily the same on one map as they might be on in an
adjacent borough's map. Within the same borough, they may change from
one map to the next over time.
That said, here are the color values that we use, in CMYK:
light blue - 80 cyan
red - 100 magenta, 100 yellow
orange - 40 magenta, 100 yellow
purple - 45 cyan, 100 magenta
dark blue - 100 cyan, 55 magenta
light green - 60 cyan, 100 yellow
dark green - 100 cyan, 100 yellow
