GTFS Discrepancy: Phantom Bus Stop

Hello,

I’ve found a discrepancy in the current GTFS feeds. It appears that stop ID 981004 in the Financial District is a "phantom" stop that no longer physically exists, despite still being routed.

Stop Details:

• Stop ID: 981004

• Name: FRANKFORT ST / PEARL ST

• Coordinates: 40.70986, -74.00223

• Affected Routes: BM1, BM2, BM3, BM4

According to Google Street View historical imagery, there was a physical bus stop pole at this location until November 2017 https://maps.app.goo.gl/qpWsgZ9WjP4mRrPQ7. In all subsequent imagery, the pole is gone.

Could someone look into this and see if it needs to be depreciated from the active GTFS feed?

Hi, thanks for sending this in. This is a drop-off only stop. We're looking into modifying the GTFS to reflect this.

Hello again.

I believe I found another phantom stop.

Stop ID: 302798

Name: SURF AV/W 21 ST

Coordinates: 40.57465, -73.98724

Affected Routes: B36, X38

This one is actually close to my neighborhood and I remember until a couple of years ago there used to be a bus stop there, but then for whatever reason the pole and bench got removed and buses no longer stop there.
