Hey there,

I recently noticed that J train trips would stop tracking between 85 St-Forest Pkwy & Woodhaven Blvd in either direction, on the realtime feed. This happens very consistently to pretty much every trip on that line. For Broad St-bound, the trip would generally resume at Cleveland St or Van Siclen Av, while Jamaica-bound trips would resume at Sutphin Blvd or drop-off completely. Sometimes the trip ID would change when trips resume, but not always. Can you please look into this?

Thanks,

Sunny Ng

Hi Sunny. This is happening because the beacon system at Woodhaven Blvd has been temporarily taken offline to support the ongoing station accessibility upgrade project. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the explanation. Is there anything that can be done while this is happening (perhaps when a trip is detected by beacons at subsequent stations, it should pick up from there?)? Currently this is affecting the display of arrival times for approximately 5 stops in either direction on pretty much every app, and I'm assuming the countdown clocks at the stations too.

Thanks,

Sunny Ng

When will the accessibility upgrade project be completed such that this information will be available once again?
