Hello again,
Can you tell that I'm working on an update to my LIRR app today? :)
I noticed that the MTA's page on LIRR Elevator and Escalator Status (http://lirr42.mta.info/elevatorStatus.php) shows that an elevator is currently not working at Penn Station (Penn Station D, Platform 9, Track 17, between platform and LIRR level), but I don't see this result being returned in the Real-Time Escalator/Elevator Data Feed for Developers (http://www.mta.info/developers/data/nyct/nyct_ene.xml). In the developer data feed I see that a couple elevators at the Atlantic Ave LIRR station are currently not working, but I don't see this listed on the MTA's page on LIRR Elevator and Escalator Status. So, I'm confused about this. Why is there a difference here?
Thanks,
Christine

As I looked at this again, I realized that the developer Escalator/Elevator Data Feed is listed under 'NYC Transit' and not 'MTA All-Agency', so I guess it doesn't cover all LIRR elevators/escalators. What was confusing to me was seeing 'LIRR' listed as a value in the 'trainno' node. So how about releasing an LIRR specific Escalator/Elevator Data Feed for developers? :)
