Missing trips on NYC Subway

Hi MTA,

I'm Tim and I work at Transit app. I'm contacting you because many MTA riders have trouble accessing accurate NYC Subway schedules through our app.

We are noticing that the GTFS Supplemented for NYC Subway pulled from GTFS http://web.mta.info/developers/files/google_transit_supplemented.zip has missing trips on several lines, such as L, 7, Franklin Shuttle, and 42nd St Shuttle.

This situation may be caused by expired calendars. Eg: the trips on the L route have service_ids BFA20GEN-L022-Saturday-00, BFA20GEN-L022-Sunday-00, BFA20GEN-L045-Weekday-00, and L0S7. Only L0S7 is not expired.

Also, many routes have trips that do not have calendars covering 7 full days. This is situation is not compliant with the GTFS Best Practices. https://developers.google.com/transit/gtfs/guides/best-practices#dataset-publishing--general-practices
