Hi all,

In working with real time trip info, we got data that said the train was stopping at stations A29 and A39, both of which don't exist as far as I can tell. Does anyone know what those stations are/what might be happening?

Thanks,
Molly

Molly,

A29 and A39 are both non-revenue timepoints which do not exist in our public GTFS.  More generally, the system which generates GTFS-realtime for the lettered lines (with the exception of the L) currently generates StopTimeUpdates for all points passed by a train, including non-revenue timepoints.  Consequently, you can discard any StopTimeUpdate for a stop ID which does not exist in the GTFS stops.txt.

This must be why Cathedral Parkway 110th street on the B and C line still has GTFS arrival data, even though that station is closed right now. (http://web.mta.info/nyct/service/Cathedral_Pkwy/index.htm). The station is still used as a time checkpoint.
