If you’ve been following, we’ve been prioritizing making our subway network more accessible. In the last few weeks alone, we have opened elevators at 4 NYCT subway stations. We’ll post more regular updates here when new stations become accessible, but we wanted to touch base on how you can stay up to date automatically.

We rely on partners like you to ensure that riders have the best information about which stations are accessible. Here’s the best way to programmatically find and display information about station accessibility.

We published a guide to how to use. MTA data to do this here - https://new.mta.info/developers/display-elevators-NYCT

If you have your own control files, we've also added some new stations accessibility in the past few weeks.

  • At the Grand St (L) station, EL785 serves the MN-bound platform and EL786 serves the BK-bound platform
  • At the Dyckman St (1) station, there is now accessibility in both directions with the new EL179 serving the northbound platform. This station was previously accessible in the southbound direction only
  • At the 8 Av (N) station, there is now accessibility in both directions with the new EL752serving the northbound platform. This station was previously accessible in the Manhattan-bound direction only
  • At the Court St (G) station, there is now accessible service southbound from the terminal, with EL469 providing service to the island platform
