I'm looking for data on full direction names per stop as they appear on platform signage. I was able to find this dataset, but the direction names are abbreviated, eg: "Uptown", instead of "Uptown & The Bronx". Currently I'm working on rolling my own solution to this but it would greatly accelerate my process if the MTA could furnish this data to me.

Best,
Lenny

Stay tuned for my app...

I solved my problem and I'm releasing the data with an MIT license, just attribute "Lenny Phelan"
These data are what I'm calling "Street/mezzanine level direction signage", the wayfinding blurb that's more straightforward the platform level signage, which includes service pattern information. There's a readme explaining my process in broad strokes though unfortunately the code is proprietary.

Love & Happiness,
Lenny

The dataset I uploaded earlier is route & stop indexed, meaning that for example, for CPW stops, the RR-North directions would read different for A and D queries. Since I'm expanding my app to include a unified stop view, I need general directions indexed only by stop so I've gone ahead and added that to my repo as well in stop_direction_names.json

Best,
Lenny
