Been trying to run VorpX with my Oculus Quest 2, but every time i launch a game it says that the Quest 2 is not detected. I have it connected via cable and i have the Oculus program running. The only way to connect my Oculus it seems, is to run it as a SteamVR headset, but that causes controller issues so i avoid it. How do i run it as an Oculus headset?

Everything works fine with the paid version. But the VR experience is very poor even with the latest configuration file, as it seems the head movement is out of sync with the screen content and distorted. Here I get sick after a few seconds.

the post is old, but trying your settings in il 2 1946 on my vive (and 3d separation in the VorpX menu to 0.01 setting, the name is no more 3d separation but found it easily), and it works great !! And for me the head tracking Inside vorpx for vive runs very nicely !

After watching some tutorials, I just spent a couple of hours trying to get VorpX working well in SC.. with no success.
It works sort of OK, but really didn't add much to the experience and, in my opinion, actually made it a worse experience.

It's very fluid, the 3D pops now and it really feels like a VR game now! I think, with the Quest 2 / airlink, it was a combination of the overhead of the Oculus client as well as the latency from the wireless connection, even my solid Wifi 6 connection... Unfortunately I need to get a USB-C to A adapter before I can test with the Link cable.

how to get vorpx working with out the black borders its supposed to be full screen but i see only black with head tracking on left or right vorpx is awesome but they need to make a full screen version now i trued bioshock infinte anf far cry nothing but black borders 1280x700 and back does not matter vorpx need to work for cloned monitors i only have a 3d monitor and this vorpx for the oculus need help soon im not going to extend my desktop clone is easyer guys they need to make that for vorpx and they do but how to get red of the black borders and strch the screen out more i dont know need help soon maybe i should of bought tri def

I decided to try out the Freedom Cry DLC as a test, and strangely, Freedom Cry works perfectly! I am able to see beautiful G3D depth in Freedom Cry without changing any settings at all. When I go back to Black Flag, though, everything is flat again.

I was so confused to decide if buying VorpX or not, that after buying it, I decided to create a review with some games tested to orient other players with more info that I got originally. (ask me also, I will answer all I can gradually)

Current games with Direct VR support are: Fallout 4, Skyrim, Skyrim Special Edition, Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2, Borderlands 2, Bioshock (original), Bioshock 2 (original), Bioshock Infinite, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Black Mesa Source. Developer stated that he will expand the support.

Direct VR is not perfect...but it works very well. There are some limitations. Sometimes it could fail... Ive played 1 or 2 hours to skyrim and it didnt failed at all...while in another situation it failed at 40 minutes of playing, and the game crashed. After that Ive started the game again and it worked without issues. (Warning; there seems to be a bug in STEAM VR that is causing this..maybe VorpX is not involved at all, will keep checking this)

You are going to play Skyrim SE VR....full geometry...everything 3d...headtracking...you are going to aim perfectly with the view of your helmet (I thought this would be an issue, but actually it works great!!). Note: the best results I got was with the mentioned resolution 1920x1440 and setting FOV 110 110 with the game console.

Limitations: You will probably need to change the view (EdgePeek) when picking up things. Maybe you could the zoom on the normal view it to a way you will no rely on the EdgePeek view. Otherwise you will have to switch views on most situations (bind a button to do this, Im using also Voiceattack to solve this). Text on the books could be read only if you reduce the 3D separation...something you will prefer to leave to see the entire game much better. The map will show the pointers floating over so, they will be there but they will not match the map. Most of the mods should work, I have many and no issues...but probably you will have to edit/disable those who alter the view to avoid conflicts with the DirectVR method that does the same so you could see it in VR.

I could play correctly with those limitations....just to enjoy the glory of entering a dungeon in full VR...wooooow man. Aiming the bow with the view, really practical...and the size of the monsters...INCREDIBLE!!.

Limitations: minimal, only the screen has to be adjusted a little to see some info correctly. The screens when you buy addons to your weapons you are going to go to EdgePeek view....and zoom in to return to the game. You have to see it...is another great VR Game/experience...specially going with the scanner (check the video)....creepy results.

Limitations: when you enter the inventory or the map or every screen that brings the HUD closer..you will probably need to switch the view to the EdgePeek, once again, bind a new button for this or use VoiceAttack with a verbal command to switch.

Many have requested to play this one on the VIVE and let me tell you, IT WORKS. Is not perfect but the effect is really good one, check the video. Not only the 3D Geometry looks great, the HeadTracking adds additional Immersion. I didnt played too much, but another user (Oddzball) is reporting me that there is a limitation with Positional Tracking that doesnt allow to "peek around corners" and that there are issues later with the motion tracker UI, but I will play more the game to confirm and check if there is any workaround or fix to this because the game looks great already :)

Full 3D Geometry, Headtracking, but you need to play this game in CINEMA MODE because it is a 3rd person shooter and the camera also moves by itself (the game starts in a floating ship and camera moves with the sea level...think about that :P )

Full 3D Geometry, Headtracking working..excelent gameplay and it can be played so good in full geometry..you have to try it..lthe look is incredible!! There are some cutscenes that the camera is moved without control of the player, maybe you should switch to CINEMA mode to avoid sickness (Im immune but Im alerting others)

The Z-Normal / Z-Adaptive is barely noted, really it is more a 2D big screen. The only advantage I could mention here is HEADTRACKING. If you pull this correctly with settings in the profile it could improve your experience in the game.

I could play with the normal view + Headtracking and the result is really good for playing IT IS NOT 3D Geometry (yet), but the immersion of moving your head and looking exactly the same in an horror game like this one is great, I could say that is a real improvement against playing with a normal TV/Monitor.

You could play the game with the normal view but I would recommend the Cinema View like every other 3rd person game. No issues at all. Performance was really good but I didnt pushed everything to the max, the video was recorded with a 1920x1440 resolution In-Game and 60 FPS (the recorded movie degrades the performance while recording but just a little)

Using either Z-Normal or Z-Adaptive I could see the entire game with Depth and 3D. Somehow..even with 1920x1440 the game looks very pixelated. Also if I enable the AA it could be a little blurry but it is better than without AA. It looks like a 3D movie but much better. HeadTracking works somehow like if turning your head you will move a pointer that will move the point of view...USELESS. You will not have a "freelok" inside the car cockpit. I will recommend to play this using the CINEMA view and enjoy the depth and 3D to play with AA, looks very good with all that.

Windows Defender should not be a problem. Please try to start a few games, then open the config app and create a trouble shoot data archive (Trouble Shooting page). Send that to support at vorpx com. Maybe I can spot something you overlooked.

Now, the mod loads and I enter VR, then go through the VorpX tutorial, but then I see the game only as a flat screen in front of me, and it does not give me the 180 view, like before. I am basically in an empty VR room with a flat game in front of me.

Ive tested it with mirrors edge catalyst and it seems to be working as in injecting (vorpx is warning about conflicts) but Ive chosen most obvious shader to see if it works while forgetting to test if it kills vorpx z3d.

If all is ok you should see the FS2020 home screen but some parts are out of view
this is ok and a limitation of full VR in vorpx but I can live with it. In the cockpit emulted trackir will be active.
For now yYou can switch to monitor view (edge peek) by clicking the mouse wheel.

If you still have it, you should check it again. The FS-world does have depth, and for what I see it looks quite allright. I just flew over NY everything maxed to ultra, no problem. All buildings, bridges lakes have depth and show in 3d not 2d. Maybe the cockpit shows a bit larger than MSFS VR does, but it at least now I can read the dials and knobs without having to fiddle with supersampling But the colors, the sun reflections on the plane, wings. I have never seen this quality in MSFS VR, Also a plus is that it simulates trackIR. Until MSFS 2020 comes with a better VR solution, I stick with this one for sure.

my cpu is i7 7700k @ 4.5ghz, 32gb 3600mhz ram, gpu is 3080ti no oc. msfs loads ok on its own but with vorpx it crashes just before the menus appear. using a quest 2. i was using the vorpx default profile for msfs (flightsimulator.exe).

Sorry to hear that. Do you see the attach ing popup when launching fs2020. Also if you use update 10 beta make sure you don t miss the firewall message (my AV shows a notification to allow traffic to ms probably for debug). I also use the default profile for msfs. Check if you have all latest Version of all software. Perhaps try with oculus link instead of virtual desktop. That also works but for some reason the trackir response is too sensitive, making the plane shake all the time, and I dont like turbulence
