hey Cruisers,
i used to take part in the MtP rides and unfortunately haven't been in years, but I thought this may be of interest to some of you!
Ride a bike?
Interested in international solidarity and social justice?
Then the CISPES (Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador) solidarity cyclers ride is the event for you!
And you should attend the orientation meeting this Wednesday
What: Solidarity Cyclers Orientation Meeting
When: Wednesday April 13 at 6:30 PM
Where: The CISPES office at St Stephens Church 1525 Newton St NW in Columbia Heights.
CISPES is a national, grassroots organization that works to promote social and economic justice in El Salvador and throughout Latin America. For over 35 years, we’ve been organizing to stop U.S. intervention and to accompany the Salvadoran popular movement in its struggle to build a true democracy.
Every year, we organize a three-day bike ride through the rolling hills and beautiful countryside of Maryland and Virginia to raise money for our grassroots campaigns.
The orientation meeting is a great chance to learn more about the ride and we can answer any questions that you might have. You will also hear from past riders and organizers about how much fun and inspirational the weekend can be!
Please RSVP to let us know if you will be joining us for
the orientation meeting. If you are interested in the ride but can't make the meeting, let us know and we can get you more information!
Feel free to contact me or Jacob Blickenov, CISPES National Organizer- ja...@cispes.org with any questions or to rsvp for tomorrow's meeting!
Thanks!
