Bike and Brew to Port City on Saturday

Hi cycling gang,

Given the great success of the past two bike and brew rides, I've decided to lead another on on Saturday afternoon, June 18.  This time we'll be going to Port City Brewing in Alexandria! This is a little longer ride than if we stayed in the District, but it's very manageable-- 13 miles each way, and most of it is on the Mt. Vernon Trail (no cars!).  We will be going at a moderate pace so that no one will get left behind.

Here's the schedule:

Saturday, June 18
12:30 meet in front of Right Proper Brewing Company in Shaw ready to ride (get there earlier if you plan to eat or drink anything there)
12:45 depart for Alexandria
2:30   arrive at Port City Brewery
3:00   tour of Port City
3:45   depart for New District Brewing Company in Alexandria
4:15   arrive at New District
5:00   depart to return home
6:00   arrive at Right Proper in Shaw

If you'd like to take the official tour of Port City ($12 includes 6 tastings), buy your ticket online (choose the 3pm tour on June 18). You don't need to pay if you'd rather just hang out in the brewery, but if you want the tour, they have a limited number of tickets.

We'll hit up New District Brewing Company on the way back to DC.
