Volunteer! Canvassing on August 30th

We are organizing an evening of canvassing the near neighbors of Pleasant Playground on Tuesday, August 30th to gather support for the dog run. Getting signatures on paper is a critical step to get an endorsement from the East Mt. Airy Neighbors association and eventual capital funding from Councilwoman Cindy Bass. Would you be able to help canvassing around Slocum and Boyer? Close neighbors are much more convincing than having strangers go door-to-door!

Volunteers will meet at 6pm in the park, hand out clipboards, petitions, and block assignments to pairs, briefly go over some talking points, fan out to the blocks around the park, and return signed petitions at around 7:30.

We'll be asking for signatures of support, chatting about what a dog run offers the community, and inviting neighbors to attend our community meeting on September 13th.
