There used to be portable zip distributions of git made available.  Now it seems there is only an executable version available for download.

We use the portable version exclusively and we find it very useful.  Could you please make a portable distribution available again.

It is available as download:

https://github.com/msysgit/msysgit/releases/tag/Git-1.9.2-preview20140411

If you want to contribute something back to Git for Windows in return for
the obvious benefit you enjoy, please fork
https://github.com/msysgit/msysgit.github.com and provide a patch for our
home page.

Thank you for the link and everyone's hard work in making Git for windows.  It's a very useful tool.

From your new homepage: http://msysgit.github.io/
clicking on repository at the top of the page takes the user here: https://github.com/msysgit/git
There are releases available on this page, but to get to the link you provided, you have to navigate one level higher and then click on msysgit.

What is the difference between the two release channels?  Are the mssysgit/msysgit release channel releases the same as the zip distributions from your old webpage?

Thanks!
