Dear Friends,

Can anyone tell me how to integrate MAPI and CDO in Exchange 2007,
as I want to configure mailbox level (brick level) backup feasibility.

Do share me why this feasibility is not given by microsoft by
default and what made him do so ?

Hi Siva,

With Exchange 2007, neither the Messaging API (MAPI) client libraries nor CDO 1.2.1 are provided as a part of the base product installation. As a result, there is functionality missing that many applications depend on. Microsoft Exchange MAPI and CDO 1.2.1 provide access to these APIs

So, all you need to download the ExchangeMapiCDO.

Use below url to download it.

Dear Selva,

Thanks for those information, do help me in installing those.  Does any hindrance in installing those in exchange 2007?  Will it create any other problems or issues in the server ?

Any idea what are the ports will be opened by installing these in the server ?

Regards

Sivaram

HI Siva,

I have not tested this yet.  If your having a test setup or staging setup, you can test it.
