Dear Faculty and Staff,
My name is Jerome Ilagan and I’m the Community Engagement Intern for Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST). I’m reaching out today because we want your students to attend the Representation Matters Film Festival, a FREE community event featuring a selection of short films with diverse voices from the outdoor community. You can find a list of films on our webpage.
The event will take place Friday, September 23 at Martial Cottle Park in San Jose and is co-hosted by Santa Clara County Parks and our community partners: Saved by Nature, Latino Outdoors, and Chopsticks Alley.
Representation Matters Film Festival is a celebration of our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, championing DEI in the space of land protection, and encouraging diversity of the greater outdoor community.
We hope this encourages students to attend this free outdoor event, and we look forward to an inspiring night! As always, we’re happy to talk with you about how we can better collaborate on community engagement activities in the future.
Help spread the word: To the extent that your organization is able, we would love your help in spreading the word and amplifying the excitement about Representation Matters Film Festival. Please consider sharing this event page or monitoring our Instagram account for event related posts.
Feel free to distribute this announcement for the Representation Matters Film Festival amongst your students, colleagues, and affiliates. Thank you!
