Hi All,

This is going out to the volleyball community, in general.

Just wanted to announce or remind that Portland North Junior Olympic Volleyball is holding its tryouts for U16 and U 18 girls teams this Sunday, Nov 15 and next Sunday, Nov. 22 at Yarmouth High School!  We are also holding placement sessions(not "tryouts" as everyone makes a team!) for U14 on the same two dates. 

On Dec. 6 we will hold our first practices for 12U girls at SMCC in South Portland, our home gym.  We also have a "satellite" program for 12s and 14s starting on the same day in Freeport.

Please help us spread the word, particularly about the U12s and U14s, 4th-8th graders, as they need no previous vball experience.  We love introducing the sport that we love to young girls.  It's rewarding to teach them the basics and watch them start to learn to love it, too.

If you or someone you know wants to see their 4th-8th grade daughter get involved, there is no obligation for the first two weeks. It's fine to just come and try it and see if she likes it. The membership fee of $35 for first-timers is refundable if requested before Dec. 20.
